Kim Laaksonen Dominates at Stop #3

Congratulations to Kim Laaksonen, a new Finnish professional player on our tour who went undefeated at this weekend's massive 125 player field. On his route to the finals, Kim shut out his first 3 opponents: Chris Santana 9-2, Paul Silva 9-2, and Aimee Super 9-3. From there he defeated Dave Gorham 9-3, followed by 2 stunning victories over veteran pro Vilmos Foldes 9-6 and young gun pro Tyler Styer 9-2.
The hotseat match featured Kim and Lance Salazar - one that Kim took down convincingly 9-1. Lance was able to meet Kim in the finals, and although he fared better for the big cash, Kim was able to dispatch him 11-3 for his first win on the tour.
In the $500 Added Second Chance 9-Ball Tournament, Mano Mataafa - a newcomer all the way from Alaska - met So Cal veteran Aaron Remijio in the finals. A very close match in the final few racks, Mataafa captured the win in a hill-hill rack.
We would like to thank everyone who came out to play, support, and watch this weekend.
