Kim Laaksonen Dominates at Stop #3

Congratulations to Kim Laaksonen, a new Finnish professional player on our tour who went undefeated at this weekend's massive 125 player field. On his route to the finals, Kim shut out his first 3 opponents: Chris Santana 9-2, Paul Silva 9-2, and Aimee Super 9-3. From there he defeated Dave Gorham 9-3, followed by 2 stunning victories over veteran pro Vilmos Foldes 9-6 and young gun pro Tyler Styer 9-2.

The hotseat match featured Kim and Lance Salazar - one that Kim took down convincingly 9-1. Lance was able to meet Kim in the finals, and although he fared better for the big cash, Kim was able to dispatch him 11-3 for his first win on the tour.

In the $500 Added Second Chance 9-Ball Tournament, Mano Mataafa - a newcomer all the way from Alaska - met So Cal veteran Aaron Remijio in the finals. A very close match in the final few racks, Mataafa captured the win in a hill-hill rack.

We would like to thank everyone who came out to play, support, and watch this weekend. We especially want to thank Sharky's Family Billiards and their amazing staff for their service during the long weekend hours of the event! Additionally we would like to thank Mezz Cues & West State Billiards for making this tour possible, and our many sponsors Zan-Tip, Turtle Rack, On The Wire Creative Media for the live stream coverage, Fast & Loose Designs, Iwan Simonis Billiards for sponsoring the Second Chance Tournament, QKS Cases, Jam Up Apparel, Aramith - Billiard Balls, John Barton JB Cases, Tony Rodriguez Re/Max, Eddie Cohen, CSI - CueSports International, and James Hanshew.
